Episode 3 - Ministry Outside the Walls - The Unchurched

On this podcast we reference thinking about the unchurched.  Jennifer gives reverence to the topic with discussion on Matthew 28:16-20, Philippians 4:8-9, and Luke 14:12-24.  Kaylie discusses three verses in the Bible that have the command "come and see."  And to wrap it up, we've got some great response ideas out of the book 101 Ways to Reach Your Community.  Kaylie also mentioned the books Crazy Love by Francis Chan and Interrupted by Jen Hatmaker.  You can connect with Jennifer and Kaylie on their websites jenniferllane.com and kayliehodges.com.  You can follow us on twitter: @amajennifer and @kaylietess.  Or our Instagram: @amarillojennifer @kaylietess.  And LIKE our The Re: Podcast FaceBook page.  We want to thank Enric Sifa for allowing us to use his beautiful songs "Dedication to the Queen of Salem" and “Lights are Bright.”  You can find his music on iTunes or on his website enricsifa.com.

Here an update from the missionary family, Jacob and Tessa Rodriguez.  They will be ministering in Ethiopia beginning mid-July.  You can email them to receive email updates, and there is information on how to support them financially:

Our goal is to be in Ethiopia in time for Tessa to resume Amharic language school in mid-August and for Jacob to begin teaching at the Evangelical Theological College in Addis Ababa on 17th August.  We hope to return to Ethiopia in mid-July so that we can get settled in time to devote ourselves to our ministry and language learning.  In order for us to get back to Ethiopia, pray along with us for the following things:

PRAISE God that we are at 82% of our monthly support needs.  PRAY that God will provide for us the remaining $1100/month we have left to raise, as well as our one-time needs.

PRAY that God will work through the USCIS to grant Tessa her citizenship interview very soon and grant her citizenship so that we can all return to Ethiopia with the same passport country.

PRAY for us as we travel over 3000 miles and 12 states in the month of May, speaking in churches, meeting with supporters, and encouraging fellow believers with stories of God's work in Ethiopia.

Lastly, PRAISE God for the many ways we see him at work, like the Iranian Muslim background believer we recently met.  She shared her incredible testimony with us and encouraged us greatly that our future ministry with MBBs is very pleasing to God!

As always, we love to hear from you, so do get in touch:
