Hi, I'm Jennifer.  Most days you can find me introverting hard with a good book, a silly tv show, or an old, vinyl record.  I've been told that I'm boldness in a quiet package.  I started out pursuing accounting but God calling me into ministry has changed everything I thought my life might be. I'm passionate about the Great Commission, loving my husband, and loving my four great kids. I have a daily devotional podcast called DevoPod [on hiatus] because I believe our walk as Christians involves time with God's Word, but it really starts when you #breakoutofquiet and live your life serving Christ.

Here's the more official, more pretentious, less fun bio:

Jennifer is a writer, podcaster, and mom with a missionary heart. Jennifer and her husband James Lane have been married for twenty-two years and are the parents of four children: Lucy (age 20), Andrew (age 16), and Gabriel (age 9), and Hezekiah (age 3). The Lanes serve with an international mission organization.

Jennifer graduated from West Texas A&M University in 2000 with a Bachelor of Business Science with a major in accounting. After graduating, Jennifer used her accounting abilities in the ministry often. Over the years, Jennifer’s focus was less on the numbers and more on the ministry to her own children and the children in her community.

Jennifer began blogging about their adoption journey in 2013.  This blog quickly transformed into writing about her personal struggles and joys in her ministry life.  After deciding she wanted to give podcasting a try, Jennifer explored podcasting with her friend Kaylie Hodges creating two short-lived podcasts: The Re: Podcast and the What Are You Doing Podcast.

Beginning October of 2017, Jennifer launched her newest podcast, DevoPod, a daily devotional in podcast form. DevoPod’s goal is to allow taking time to be in God’s Word easy and convenient for the listener.

Jennifer released her first book, an eBook called Faith Adventures: Stories of Learning with an Unseen God on Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing in December of 2016 and she released her second eBook called Paper Tigers & Impressing God: How to be a Doer Who’s Free in September of 2017.

Jennifer Lane and her husband James Lane have ministered at Citychurch in downtown Amarillo, Texas for 22 years. The Lane family founded Citychurch and the 501(c)3 organization Citychurch Outreach Ministry in 1996.

Jennifer has taught Sunday school for pre-school and high school aged girls, taught after-school Bible clubs for elementary age children, led a bicycle route to deliver free lunches to a neighborhood of children for four summers, ministered to women through Bible study and practical classes, served on leadership for IF:Amarillo that organized a city-wide women’s event, served as treasurer for the local home school association PCHEA for five years, and been a part of countless children’s and youth camps and discipleship weekends.
